Telmisartan is the best and most suitable medication for reducing Blood pressure that bodybuilders and strength athletes alike can take. Its classed as an ARB where as many other medications are known as ACE inhibitors. To keep things simple it means it works slightly differently and the many side effects such as a persistent, irritating dry cough which you normally get with ACE's do not happen with ARB's etc. Not only does it reduce BP effectively but it also works on reducing Internal Kidney pressure - this is one of the main organs along with the Heart that can become damaged when BP is too high for too long resulting from Steroid use. The filters in the kidneys become overloaded with pressure and simply stretch and become less effective at filtering - resulting in protein, glucose and blood spillage into the blood stream which then means you have Chronic Kidney Disease. Do things right and get on a medication from the start if you notice your BP is routinely over 130 / 85 while on steroids when you are resting. The Deus medical version in my opinion is as good as the version you get on prescription from the Pharmacy. Begin with 20mg per day and increase to 40mg per day if required.
